NAXC: Week 4

There are two meets this week. On Tuesday, there's a home meet at North Park - runners take their normal after-school shuttle bus to that meet and head home from the park. On Saturday, September 7, there's the Red, White, and Blue Invitational in White Oak. Transportation is provided to and from the meet. Buses leave the Baierl Center at 6:45 am. See the transportation schedule here. Any last-minute changes will be communicated to the runners by the coaching staff.

The first Pasta Party of the year is this Friday at 6 pm at Wall Park. Sign up to bring food/drink/plates/etc. to the Pasta Parties here.

Sign up to donate items for the NAXC athletes' food table at the Red, White, and Blue Invitational here.

Upcoming Fundraisers

NAXCBA Fall Mum Fundraiser; September 9 - 23: Don't get tempted by "other" mum plant sales. They talk a big game but they're fooling nobody. Our sale is superior because it supports NAXCBA. Every lush, colorful plant sold not only exudes quintessential Fall vibes, it benefits our team's runners. Look for more information on the sale in next week's newsletter. The plants will be available for local pickup on October 7, just in time for HOCO pictures.

About the NAXC Boosters Association

The North Allegheny Cross Country Booster Association (NAXCBA) is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the North Allegheny Cross Country runners and coaches.  We are a group of parents who provide support for our runners by organizing pasta dinners, food tables for invitational meets, and weekly yoga classes. We supplement the Athletics Department by providing equipment and team t-shirts/hoodies for our athletes.  We celebrate our runners by hosting a Recognition Night and other team related activities.  To provide these services, the NAXCBA assesses dues and holds fundraisers to support team initiatives.

NAXCBA will communicate with you weekly during the season to relay important information regarding meet dates and directions, dates for fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and events to support our athletes.

Thanks for reading all the way to the bottom. Why couldn't the hippo compete in the XC invitational? Because it's not in the human race.
