NAXC: Week 9

Congratulations to our team - 2024 Section Champs!

Our NAXC Banquet and Senior Recognition Night is October 16.Athletes and Parents must RSVP for this event by Oct 10! PS - we also need more volunteers to support this event. Additional info below.

Did you order mums during our fundraiser? They're available for pick up on October 7 (tomorrow) from 2-8 pm at the Peigh family's home: 401 Stag Horn Drive, Wexford PA. When you arrive, please be sure to check in with Pilar or Josh Peigh, or another NAXCBA member on site, BEFORE you leave with your mums. If you have questions about the pickup location/time/process, don't hesitate to call or text Pilar Peigh at (603) 459-9257.

We're collecting money for Toys For Tigers - we have a goal to raise at least $175, which will provide gifts for one child during the holidays. Two of our runners, Elinor Handel and Andrew Peigh, will be collecting checks (preferred! made out to NAUBO) or cash from teammates. You may also bring your donation to the banquet on October 16 and pass it along to one of the NAXC Boosters Board members.

Recognition Night Important Information

This annual tradition is for ALL NAXC athletes and their parents. It includes dinner, letters, and awards along with a special individual recognition for our seniors.

Date: Wednesday, October 16, 2024

Time: 5 - 8 pm

Location:  McKnight Elementary Cafeteria, 500 Cumberland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237

All Athletes and Parents PLEASE RSVP (yes or no) by October 10th so that we know if you're coming. RSVP now! 

We are in need of parents of 9th - 11th graders to volunteer at the event.Can you help? Contact Jill Goetz (Goetzjpr@hotmail.com) or Pam Davis (pamdavis1313@gmail.com).

We're also looking for food and supply donations for the event. Click here to see what we still need!

Don't forget the NAXC Parent/Athlete Fun Run: Friday, October 18 at 4 pm; at North Park NAXC team course.

Toys for Tigers

NAXC will once again be participating in the Toys for Tigers drive, which raises money to provide hand-chosen, hand-wrapped gifts to local children for the holidays. This is an amazing program that spreads cheer and goodwill throughout the community.

This year, our Toys for Tigers team representatives are juniors Elinor Handel and Andrew Peigh. They will be collecting money from team members/families to support Toys for Tigers. Team members can give Elinor or Andrew donations of checks (preferred! made out to NAUBO) or cash. Donations may also be brought to Recognition Night. Last year we raised over $650. Let's beat that number this year!

Many of you know that Coach Sabo was to undergo surgery this past week—and donations were collected to support his recovery. In great news, he was able to postpone surgery so the donations raised will now go toward the Toys for Tigers effort. If you would like your donation returned, please contact the NAXC Boosters and we will gladly refund your entire donation. Thank you for supporting Coach Sabo. He is extremely appreciative of everyone's generosity.
